I did a good deed today, I took an old lady across the road. She didn't want to go, but hey, that's life

hi, sorry to sort of disagree but i think the whistle blowing is a good idea, i have had my account taken over 3 times in 2 weeks by scam artists, trying to rip people off............mobile phones being the main one selling 55 brand new phones for close to peanuts, off course there is'nt any phones , but some one thats new to ebay get riped off, :(
also anyone that has a account with ebay thats reading this be extra watchful if you cannot get into your account, they have been operating from 3 countrys as far as i know, usa, germany and australia.
    hope they get locked up.

But it's not about taking care of Ebay/Paypal, it's about taking care of the people who made the film, from the technicians to the director.

thats a bit too fair for me too go,. dont get me wrong im not a selfish so un so,.
if someone was getting bullyed etc on the street i wouldnt stand there and watch,. but if someone was selling dvds on the street (aint they every where?!?) i wouldnt care never mind ppl selling them on ebay,. theres just bigger things too worry about then whistle blowing on petty things rules or no rules,.

Sylvie I would seriously look at the security ofyour system and the passwords you use... change your password to something you'd never normally use and run free AV and spyware scans on your machien even if just to make sure....

Or learn about proper internet security and don't use firefox under the illusion that you are safer for using it :)

Do however agree with changing passwords regularly :)

hi thank you for advice, but i did change my password 3 times in the 2 weeks my ebay account was taken over, but this so and so, as i tried to put messages on the said items mobile phones, he or she took them off within minutes :( i emailed ebay each time this happened, but what in trying to say is, if your not selling items at the moment it is worth just checking, as the first time it happened i had not bean on ebay for a little while, and i did'nt know anything about it.
just a little warning to other users thats all.

Thank you for your friendly warning sylvey1, but I think what the others are saying , and I would have to agree, that you can't just have your account taken over unless you compromise it in some way.

I would hope we are all aware how secure we need to keep ourselves online. I for one operate several bank accounts, ebay and paypal accounts and keep drumming into the children the need to be safe. Even at home I insist we all log out properly from any site when we have finished, as the first step in keeping safe.
