As a rule of thumb, me & OH are endeavouring ( but failing a bit) to do £20 a week, including taking lunches and all meals at home. He has a) high cholestrol ( so healthy's important to us too) and b) the appetite of a herd of elephants ( as do I to be honest!) Im certainly not the authority on whats the tops, but if JamieDodger can do thier brood for 40 a week, then that could also be a starting point!
Cant wait to see how ingenious everyone is! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
There we go, sig updated!
Tonight I'm eating Ginsters chicken pie (£1.99 bogof) and waffles, yum! Not especially healthy or money saving but I've been away and its all I've got in. Excuses, excuses :rotfl:Don't stress, relax, let life roll off your backs. Except for death and paying taxes, everything in life is only for now... HI,
Can i jion,
I'm awful with shopping i spend about £70-£80 a week and then top up things on other occasions too....
Just me and dd (6) and ds (2) here, we eat at mum's on thursday and not really about at the weekend maybe one dinner over fri sat and sunday as the kids go to their dad's and i have some freedom.
I think at the moment i spend about £320 a month on food, my budget only had £250 set aside but i have been really bad with that too.
Doesn anyone find that the cd, and toy aisles are just too much to handle, tried doing online shop with tesco but the blighters don't accept my card.
p.s. can i be number 8 (lucky number)

Hi
I am new to these boards but would like to join in this challenge. who decides how much i get to spend each month?

The OS board has exactly this type of thread and you will most definately be made very welcome over there.
I will lock it here and you can join in the OS challenge instead, if I move this to the OS Board and the BG merges it the thread will be rather mixed up.0
