Me & Oh as you can see from my sig are trying to do it for less than 20 a week, so I think less than 100 should be sufficient for you Sunnydoo, without much shock.
Could you not get a shop from tescos they have free delivery over £50 for your first shop... something to think about for the future anyway. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Hi there - can I join in too :j
I wasnt sure what to set my budget at so have been keeping receipts since 10th March ( I get paid on the 10th so my month runs from then ) So far I have spent £107.48 and only have 1 more shop to do ( next Monday ) to get me through to the 10th April. I really really want to try to get the last shop for under £12.52 but I have just ordered a 2 week veggie box ( which will save in the long run ) for £6.00 and Im running out of butterso it now looks like I have £6.00 to spend next week  If I acieve this I will have spent £120.00 for a month :j if not Im still spending a third of what I sed to before MSE.
Tonight was easy. Daughter had left over veggie curry, rice and garlic bread slices and I had left over dinner from yesterday.
Just made a pan of carrot soup ready for Daughter to take a packed lunch tomorrow because of the strike. Will freeze the rest into batches.
Good luck everybody with the DFW Shopping challenge :cool: Official DFW Nerd Club Member #37 Debt free Feb 07 :cool:0 -
Thanks Lynzpower-this was the kick up the rear i needed !
I used Asda this time as i had a voucher for £10 off a £50 shop but i can't usually afford to spend that much in one go(just increased my overdraft limit-tut tut !)
Tonight i had HM pasta bake & cereal(usually eat it in evenings instead of for breakfast !)
DDs had a couple of snacks but can't decide what to have for her main meal-she's v fussy unfortunately
Never bothered with a sig before but will do do from April 1st with my grocery challenge
Good luck everyoneOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 440 -
hi i'd like to join in, have just checked my cupboards and in it there is 48 packets of crisps still in large outer bags waiting to go in draw where there is another 30ish bags waiting to be eaten, the only person who eats crisps is 18 year old, roughly i bag a day in packed lunch, i also throw out all the plain ones as he doesnt like them, in my defence the two large bags were BOGOF, i have to laugh at myself"Don't go where the path may lead,go where there is no path and leave a trail"Anthony Robbins0

Everyone number themselves then I'll be no 1!
And this will give me the kick up the bum I need, I must lead by example :P
If everyone could give the best estimate of what their meals cost and say whether its Per person or all in, then this will give others an idea before they go shopping!
Great to have so many people on board already!! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

I'd like to join in too. Just me and my 5 year old. Cupboards and freezer are stocked to the rafters as I'm BOGOF/savings mad!
I think we can do £15 per week, but having been running closer to £20. We're also away w/c 10th April, so that's one week of running down and one week not to shop for.
Dinner tonight was homemade shepherds pie (mum makes a batch for my freezer) FREE, fresh broccoli (half of 44p piece from the market) and carrots (half of 20p batch from the market). Total = 32p!
We don't tend to have puddings - we're a savoury pair, so probably cream crackers and cheese if we get peckish later!Back on the DFW Wagon:
CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/180 -
can I be number 3 ? Official DFW Nerd Club Member #37 Debt free Feb 07 :cool:0
