Best upgrade phone on O2 to sell...

I think at the moment O2 is going through tariff changes (removing some chargeable bolt ons, new tariff options in July etc..) These things go in cycle, in a few months down the line it probably be a different story and will get a better deal. I was going to call and ask for my PAC today not to get a better upgrade deal but with the whole mess up on our account. (all our calls are being charged when they shouldnt be.) But decided since wife mum is in Italy cause husbhand is in hospital, the numbers wont change for a month etc. so decided will wait until near the end of the month to call for it.
Anyway maybe a better option would be call up and say you want to move to sim only deal (a month by month contract) than after the summer call up and say you want to leave and might get a better deal, if not than move. Also I notice on the run up to Xmas there is normally good new customer deals out as well.0 -
Thing is I have a !!!! credit file and won't be able to get another contract. When I start a new contract on O2 they said they don't do another credit check. Same if I go to an iPhone contract.
Thing is, I do actually want an iPhone but right now, I want the money (I figured 250 ish from selling a phone) to buy a mountain bike for the summer.0 -
Sounds like i called at the right time then! Did you speak to someone in retentions? or just a regular salesperson? I asked to go through to retentions and it was them that offered me the best deal by far.
I do remember one of the people i spoke to saying i was upgrading at a good time due to O2 billing soon swapping over to O2 from CPW and that O2 don't offer such good deals.0
