exactly, you'd only know this if you worked for the institution in question..... as I said, as an ex employee trust me £25k per van is peanuts. maybe that is what Barclays have insured against but it is small fry....
BM has, in essence, just told all criminals that there will be upto £25k per van doing a drop at Barclays - wise move Mr Bank Manager! Maybe it's time to speak to Governance and advise them of your security blip.....

Aside from the amount, this is not the issue to be fair, BarclaysManager merely stated something which is standard across the board for the carrier boxes that G4S use. By BM making this disclosure does not increase the chances of a Barclays Branch being robbed or a cash in transit courier being attacked. If a criminal is to attack one of these vans (particularly organised crime which is commonly the process in bank raids), they watch the branch for a number of days before making their 'hit' and they seize their moment at a key period when branches are busy.
Besides, have you ever seen a Crimewatch reconstruction where the banking hall was empty and there was one Cashier behind the counter (indicating a quieter period)-NO! Criminals, as much as they are the pinnacle of stupidity, do have the mentality to make their hit when it's busy and they can maximise the 'jobs' return.
Doesn't take the masterminds of the Tonbridge Wells robbery to work that out does it! I somehow don't think a forum comment is going to increase incidents of bank robbings.

Jees, it was an off-the-cuff remark! Maybe you ought to take heed of Tunbridge Wells being you quote it so much!
i.e. 'Doesn't take the masterminds of the Tonbridge Wells robbery to work that out does it!'
