OP - if your OH doesn't want or need you to pay the mortgage, you are truly lucky. However, to show courtesy, you should really be considering where you are spending the money instead, otherwise he could quickly grow tired of him working to keep a roof over your head whilst you get your hair cut and buy handbags.

he doesnt mind as its his and his ex house so i dont/wont have any stake in it. I pay my share of bills and all the rest and my bag was my birthday treat0

then good luck really.............but in a couple of years when haircuts, handbags and nights out equal a £10k debt staring you in the face on the same income, please remember the advice you were offered and please learn from the way you treated the same advice.

You have debt which is accruing interest and you aren't curbing, or wanting to hear advice on curbing your spending. It can only spiral upwards.
