How difficult is it to tell all your employees [ie posties] to.........
STOP DROPPING THE RED ELASTIC BANDS ON THE PAVEMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's not as if it's difficult to work out who's done it.
Also think about the amount of money saved by recycling the bands as opposed to dropping them on my drive....lol

I'd love to get some of these bands, normal ones rot in weeks but these seem to last a much longer time.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

My road is full of them :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
This has actually been quite a big news article in the past with newspapers & tv covering the story. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/article716493.ece
I like to think of the free rubber bands I pick up as a big bonus, especially since having to stop work due to my health I now have to buy such things as rubber bands & paper clips. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -

Well I'm going to complain!! Postie's rounds used to start at our house, we had the empty, big grey, very strong webbing bags left behind our bins and masses of red elastic bands dumped ther too!!!
Now they start elsewhere! I WANT MY FREE BAGS AND RUBBER BANDS BACK!:DAlways get a Qualified opinion - My qualifications are that I am OLD and GRUMPY:p:p0 -

You have strange postmen...I have never seen one of these in the street
or maybe I live near someone who collects them up before I get a chance to see them

We seem to get them on our driveway almost daily. I'd love to know how much Royal Mail spends on elastic bands each year, especially when they complain about their costs and the need to improve efficiency etc - bet they'd save a fortune if they recycled them, rather than throwing them away!0

lol they used to drop these on my recycling bin until there was quite a collection then I moved the bin and they haven't come back since

What ever you do, do not pick them up.
It is the only way they know how to get back to the sorting office.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0
