  • Donnie gave the link for Insurance4hire in Insurance 2 above.

Name the company, you should not be charged this amount if you are correct and should take this further- why you wont is mad, do you have so much money you can just throw 1000 euros away?

Cant see why you wont name and shame.

    I'll help.

Hired a car booked via holiday autos last year in Cyprus.

    No complaints about holiday autos.

Car was provided by National Car rentals at the terminal

Car supplied had minor damage, not really the quality of car expected.

They also insisted i pay for full tank of fuel upfront instead of the usual return as collected way.

Rubbsh company, rip off fuel policy, poor quality car.

Complained on return to UK. Was sent standard letter and a crummy voucher for....

    drum roll..

More car hire from national at a reduction on the standard rate.

Standard rates are criminal so no net gain.

National were rubbish and so was Paphos. I wont be using either again.

I am talking about post #11

"I would thoroughly recommend Insurance4carhire (£10 off via Tiscali website.)"

I went to the tiscali website and didn't see the £10 off ???

  • Hi Nordictat2,

I have not been to the tiscali website looking for this offer, so cannot comment on reply number 11?

However the way you asked I thought you wanted the discount from £49 to £39 from Insurance4hire which Donnie provided in reply 6? It is the same discount as what (may) be available through the tiscali website so if it is insurance cover you want, there should be no problem.

I have followed this link, which really you can do by going direct to Insurance4hire and found the quote for Europe at £39 which was very helpful of Donnie.

Hope this helps you if it is cover your looking for.

Furthermore, the link that I have supplied is the one using the Tiscali reference.

I have booked the full monte cover @ Faro costing €8.00 per day and they are waiving the bond/credit card stuff. All they ask is a €90 bond for petrol which is refunded if you return car with a full tank.

The cover includes locks, tyres and windscreens and covers the full excess.

This is the final email I got from the rental company aftere a whole string of them!
For the insurance for tyres windows and locks is 3 euros/day .
Total cost for 10 days rental is 230 euros plus 90 euros for the petrol deposit.

Don't know what state the car will be in though will let you know!
