That is a really nice looking house, the room at the back is beautiful, I hope they don't muck it up. I didn't see the original so I don't know how it turns out.0 -

So, they've both moved in ... and she thinks they'l make £1million because they borrowed against that and bought another one at £490k.
A bungalow and studio. They want to knock it down and build a 4-bed detached.
£200k budget and they think they'll get a £400k profit out of it.0 -
This is a crash in slow motion .... overstretched, commercial loans, bought a 2nd, then a 3rd plot, deferred interest for a year.
Hoped to break even at £550k
Dropped it to £495k, no viewings.

Both couples were crazy. The couple with fish-tank in the kitchen, he looked like a spoilt City type to me. Ended up moving in to live in it.
The couple (florists with a shop) with the dodgy garage, nice enough but so happily willing to just buy and buy, and leverage themselves to destruction. Before finishing and selling their first development, they bought another property, and a plot of land to build on, as the market was falling.

I do wonder sometimes if these people never intended to sell, they just want to do up a house and get on TV. No developer in their right mind would spend money on corian worktops all over the house and fishtanks in the kitchen.0
