ML, we had a 4d scan at the Baby Show In Birmingham. I was a bit early really at 22+4 (ie nealy 4 weeks ago and I'm due the day before you) but it was £95 for a 5 min video (ours is 8 mins long) and 3 pics (we got 7). Was a Baby Bond one. People were very nice and reassuring etc. Will post pics if I get chance to scan them. We only had it done as they couldn't see the sex at my 20 week scan. Was/is very nice but if we didn't want to know the sex, I'm not sure we would have bothered.

    Don't know if that helps!

PS Saw midwife yesterday - all was fine. Got GTT test tomorrow -joy!!

Congrats to all the recent births xxx

I can't believe there's been so many births we've been waiting for ages and 4 come along at once - and how the hell did I get to 11th

Helen - Congrats on choosing a name, Ethan is lovely. We've gone for the icandy cherry to but in red as we got it second hand, that way if we don't get on with it, it's no big deal IYKWIM?

jennynoo - Congrats on joining team pink

Tia & beenie - Hope you both are better soon

Glam - Sorry to hear about your OH's job, hopefully something will come up.

GISI - Glad your scan went well

Last but by no means least - HUGE, HUGE, HUGE labour vibes to Honeypop

As for me, Take That last night were amazing although the bump wasn't too keen I had loads of women I didn't know come up and check I was OK and they couldn't believe I went but then everyone kept saying I looked ready to drop, a bit worrying as I'm 37 weeks!

Consultant today and she's not happy as they've found both protein and sugars in my wee and are concerned by high BP is back so I have to see the midwife next week and the consultant again the week after and I need to be scanned again in 2 weeks. Hopefully they're just being careful.

Last day in work tomorrow which I'm soooooo excited about (can you tell) :T

    Hi Tink!

I am so jealous. Every man and their dog seems to be seeing Take That. I have sold my ticket as I didn't fancy standing for hours, but still feeling torn! Glad you had a good time.

I got home about an hour ago! :j:j:j with a LOAD of pills!

Medics looked me over and they don't know why I have the headaches either. If I wasn't pregnant I would have been sent for a CT scan but as it is, there is a few reasons to send me for one but not enough to risk a CT scan during pregnancy (as yet). My left arm and hand has areas of sensory changes (don't feel pressure like I do on the right) and I have a patch of blurred vision on the left eye, but not changes to the eye itself. The medication they would give me can't be used in pregnancy either.

So, been sent home with co-codomol (not that it helps) and lobitalol to lower my BP a little (in the heope it may help) and because it dialates the capillaries in the brain (in the hope that that helps). Along with my antibiotics for my UTI and more asprin.

Lil ladies heart rate was a bit high during her active moments but it goes back down in her quiet moments, this will be kept an eye on, but as yet nothing to worry about. She did get mega hicups on the ECG!!! My belly was jumping like mad and the nurses heard it at their station!

The lobitalol is making my skin tingle, light headedness and generally feel bla. Headache is there on and off as is the visual party. Plus I've got bad heartburn from hospital food and pulled a muscle in that area from coughing so feeling a bit fed up

Aww, glad to hear you are at home Tia. As long as you rest and they keep an eye on you, you will be more comfortable at home (with internet and own food!).

I don't think my baby has had hiccups yet. Would I know when it does? I get regular rhythmical kicks, but don't think it's hiccups.

glad you have made it home tia!!

so plenty of rest and lots of tablets.

lobitalol is one of the strongest they can give when you are pregnant. the consultant i saw said that is the last one they will try. and then i would be in hospital if that didnt keep my bp down.
when do you next have to have a check up?
