Be_beaney - As Fitzio mentioned i've got the Buzz, it only arrived on Saturday and i'm only 30 weeks so i haven't got any actual experience of using it but it looks lovely, i do know people who have the buzz and have been using it and generally the feedback is good! Tia - the Quinny's now come supplied with 2 sizes of seat because the first one does seem to come up small but they had loads of complaints about it and now it comes with an XL seat as standard.

Glam - I am a clinical hypnotherapist but not a hypnobrithing practicioner, I am going to some free hypnobrithing classes that we get at our local hospital though so i can pinch their scripts and use hypnobirthing for the big day! I would have used hypno for pain releif anyway but these are the official Mongan method scripts so will be interesting to see.

    LAbour Vibes HOneypop!!!

    Good luck for tomorrow MM!

skinty - i'm struggling with the heat as well, i'm really tempted to buy a mobile air con unit but it's an expense that we really could do without!

GISI - they can't make you go off on maternity leave until 4 weeks before your expected week of confinement (week starting sunday before your edd)

Elle- One thing after another, Rhys certainly is one of a kind! At least they've found it now and can start to work with his body, who should have picked it up?

HOpe you're all well, i'm struggling to keep up at the moment, we've been having work done in the house, i'm actually enjoying organising and cleaning for the first time ever and it's very strange! I think it's because i'm 30 weeks this week and it's all becoming a bit real!!

'Ooh was this with a normal mw though? i am seeing a consultant for my 16 wks and not sure they will be doing anything like that. I don't see my mw until 25 wks' every consultant appointment i go to the mw checks my bp and does the routine stuff. and we always get to hear the hb.

BP- i have never been given aspirin but have been on atenelol prior to discovering i was pg. have been on metyldopa which is working at the moment since i found out i was pg. my high BP is unexplained and there is no history in my immediate family of high BP/strokes. i guess if there was i may have been put on aspirin. i do have weekly checks as well (was with nurse but consultant said to see mw) so if my BP suddenly shoots up they will be aware earlier rather than waiting for the 3/4 weeks that the routine appointments are.

the lady who died in scotland had a stoke and that is why her baby was prem. has scared me a little as a stroke can be caused bt high BP. so i have been trying to stay calm and not worry bout things. (easier said than done sometimes)

I know, but the big thing is, when she gets a cold, because of her asthma, it goes into her chest and she can get quite bad, so I am hoping its going to just be a runny nose and nothing too big
    Fingers crossed xxxx

Same as my Ellis that. Hope she's ok.
How was your last preggy day?!
love my little man he is amazing :j

Glad they sorted the quinny then, I remember looking at it when it first came out, DS2 was about 18months and he looked HUGE in it, and he was small for his age!

30 weeks tomorrow and the last 10 are going to drag, I just knew it!

Government advice is not to eat peanuts if you have a history of allergies in your family, but it depends what you believe. I also read they are due to reverse the advice and recommend that you eat peanuts.

It is one thing I have tried to avoid though because a friend ate peanuts during her first pregnancy and her daughter has peanut alllergy. She didn't during her second and DD2 doesn't have allergies. It's probably coincidence, but OH doesn't want to risk it unneccesserily. I am happy to go along with this, but I have eaten sushi, soft eggs, blue cheese (once) etc, so not being overly strict.

My last pregnancy I ate Crunchy nut cornflakes like they werre going out of fashion. I wasn't aware of the whole 'shouldn't eat peanuts' thing. I don't know if its just a coincidense (damn, how do you bloody spell that word??!) but my son had quite bad eczema on his face as a baby, is allergic to penicillin, has outbursts of asthma when he comes down with a cold (has been hospitalised before) and looks like he suffers with mild hayfever too! Did I cause him to have all this? I don't know.

sorted al my mat leave dates today.
mat leave starts on 30 aug but i have 20 holiday days to take so am finishing on 31 july!!
    thats only 46 days away!!!
that will give me a few weeks to sort house out properly. spend some time with mum and sis when they are over and relax and enjoy (hopefully last few weeks of pregnancy)
oh sorted his paternity leave too. he can have 1 week at full pay and another at £120 (!!!!) but he has worked it paternity week is from 221sep - it starts automatically if i go earlier - and the next 2 weeks as holidays. even if i need to be induced (04oct) he still gets over a week with me and baby!

Evening everyone. Have finally caught up. Can't wait until mat leave starts (three days left :D) and then I'll be able to keep up to date far more easily.

Elle - I'm glad Rhys is doing so well. How annoying that they didn't pick up the UAT though.

DH is out for the evening, prob won't be back for an hour and a half or so. Am tempted to do some work from home, as I've got so much to do before Friday. On the other hand, I'm also tempted to have a go at Bejewelled. Decisions decisions...

Hi everyone, i just wanted to ask elle if she's keeping a diary of current events at the minute? Seems a lot of going on with Rhys and i know i'd like to look back at the rollercoaster that was the first few weeks especially, when they were tlaking about resus and how far he's come!

    Just a thought!
