And one other thing while I'm on my soapbox, I may not like the recession because of job losses but I said 3 years ago that we needed a credit crunch as a wake up call and it would happen sooner or later. You can't just borrow and borrow without consequences. People needed to slow down and save more and borrowing needed to be harder. Reality check! And I'm fed up about older people moaning about how they need more money because of the cost of living, try being a family in this day and age, how many SAHM's are there now, because most families need 2 incomes just to keep their heads above water. There, well that was 2 things but now I feel better.
Too many children, too little time!!!

I know exactly what your talking about !! I mean, yes its my job to give people money secured on their houses, and I have to do it to get a bonus, but I have a conscience and always ask people to think really carefully about what they are doing before they sign the forms !! You would be surprised at how many people still borrow more than they can afford at the minute knowing that the rates are going to go back up again !!
My last week of work before I went on mat leave was spent doing 3 repossesions and 2 voluntary repossesions, not a fun partof my job :(
