We just fixed our mortgage for 10 years MM, I'm obsessed with having fixed payments! :o

Normally I do the same. I am on my first ever tracker in my life at the minute, purely because as staff I get B of E rate, so my mortgage is on 0.5% at the minute :o
Will go back on a fixed when it starts to go up !!

    Hiya Ladies and Bumps :D

There were 2 'Don't Buy' seats which failed the Which safety testing - I'd hate for anyone to get these:

    Renolux Next Confort

    Renolux 360

Both are priced at £150 and look like nice seats with some handy features but the report says that they offer 'woeful protection' to your child in a crash.

    I hope this helps someone.

Thanks MFD, I have never even heard of Renolux !!! I am getting my sisters car seat as he little man has just turned one so he is in a bigger seat now, its a mamas and papas one, but not sure which !!

OOh MM - you are a good person to know. WE usually fix but are on variable at the mo (not as good at yours - 1.5% above BOE) but will fix when rates start to go up.

Do you think that I am being paranoid asking my mum to come and stay while DH goes to america on business 13 days before my due date? It is not so much about being around for DD but more didn;t fancy having to get a taxi on my own to hospital in the middle of the night...I doubt I will be early (DD was born at 41+2) but still...

tara - i thought you already had a massive house no?

I plan to return to work in January so want it one before then if possible.

    Not massive http://www.knightfrankglobal.com/barnesmeadow/plot25.html
but I love it, we're going to extend off the kitchen and make a family room, study is now the nursery. Never dreamt I would end up living somewhere like this. :T

No, sensible and if it makes you feel better, then do it.
