I still work in one, and as I do things like equity release for debt consolidation (OK not always the best option, but sometimes it is) I see a lot of people in a lot of trouble
But hte ones that I cannot have at all is the parents that come in with bags of shopping and telling me they cant afford to pay their mortgage that month or else their child will starve as they have no money to feed them !!! Go leave back the new shoes you just bought yourself then you tight b!tch !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The two best things I have done with my life

I'm just thinking, its been a few days since MrsM has been on, wonder how she is coping? Also beenie hasnt been on since this morning, I hope she got rid of !!!!!! and is just having some time to herself tonight.
Anyone else feel really attached to whats happening in all of our lives? I actually find myself talking about the things that you are doing in normal conversation with people. As if I have known you all for years !!The two best things I have done with my life

When I started working in school one of the parents came to see me to ask for help as she couldn't meet her mortgage payments and bills and was being threatened with reposession. I sat down with all her statements and started going through them to see where she could make cuts, I do this myself when I need to. She had restaurant bills, TKmax, Next, iTunes, Sky to name a few and I highlighted all of these and then she went through each one telling me why she had to spend it. She had no intention of cutting back so I told her I couldn't help, she cried and said the bank charges were the reason she couldn't manage. Any bank member of staff was not going to authourise a refund when the overspending was on items like that, I didn't know what happened but I know they moved so I assume they lost the house. I do think that compulsive spending is an illness but sometimes it's just the got to have it culture that we have all created and I worry about our kids.Too many children, too little time!!!0
