How do you manage your spending money? We are 'given' £80 per month each to basically spend on what we want. If you did something similar then would that encourage your OH to realise quite how much he is actually spending on random stuff? You need to be really careful that too much resentment doesn't build up. I know that I can get really stressed when I am trying to scrimp and save every last penny and send OH to the supermarket for specifics and he comes home with something completely random like a new broom (the old one is just fine, thank you very much).
Fortunately (or should that be unfortunately!) I have PND and am seeing a counsellor at the moment, so we have had a good long talk about what is making me really stressed and unable to sleep and one of they key things has been money and my frustration when he overspends. He now has to take it seriously as he knows how much it is affecting my state of mind.
I like the suggestion of getting him to recreate your SOA. That way there is no way he cannot see the reality of the situation. Black and white can really hammer it home in a way that no amount of nagging, cold shoulder, pleading ever will.
Oh and I have a pick axe you can borrow if things don't improve!!"I've fallen down a hole" - said in best Monty Python voice-over.0 -

How sad am I? I was just looking at the number above and realised I can make every number between 1 and 50 Countdown style. I really need some new hobbies lol Glad I realised that before I tried 51-100 :-\0 -
mjh1977 wrote:Try EasyMobile. 5p a text, 15p a minute. You can buy a new handset or unlock your old one. Worked for me. If someone can refer you, you and they get some money credited. Apart from being able to get online, if you can it's that simple.
Thanks MJH for the info, I've never heard of Easymobile and I went & got a virgin mobile yesterday, £40 but that included £15 of airtime. I've used £10 of that to give me 200 texts (works out at 5p a text) & still have £5 airtime. I'm gonna have to be very careful & not just use the phone like I used to, but it's already irratating me not being able to just text ppl all the time, but I am thinking of the money!0 -
Hi D&DD had to think about this one and get the team of experts in :
Okay here goes if it was me I would try each one making notes as i went along to guage how useful each scam is :
1. Get yourself a sunday job- which would me he would be unable to play as he would have to look after the kids.
2. Come down with a mysterious illness on sunday morning that you have no energy to do anything. Fake vomit using shops own vegetable soup dont forget good sprinkling of carrots for maximum effect.
3. Tell him that football is a great idea take the kids pack a picnic and all go and watch then at least he wouldnt be able to go in the pub for a few afterwards
4. Dont wash his kit for him
5. Hide his shin pads, boot or other appropriate gear :rotfl:
6. Tell him to go train as a football ref then he can ref get the exercise enjoy his new found love for the sport and get paid for it.
7. Break his kneecap then he won't be able to play - downside he probably wont be able to walk again either
8. Get him so p@*%ed on saturday nights he is too ill to play
9. Withdraw all sex on saturday nights on the grounds it will distract him from his game.
10. Take up an activity yourself that happens after his games that way he has to come home so you can go out.
11. As he is about to walk out the door wrap yourself around his leg and don't let go screaming hysterically that you can 't bear him to leave you.
12. Are you both still smoking if so tell him he either smokes or plays footie and has a pint.
13. Make an agreement with him that if he is out on sunday you are out on saturday
14. Pray for severe weather conditions for play to be stopped. Ie pitch frozen, waterlogged
15. Go along to games and scream abuse at people therefore you will be banned from turning up to games and if your really bad he may be banned too.
16. Streak at all his games
17. Become sec of football club - if you cant beat em join em !!!!!!!!0 -
