Many thanks for any advice you can help with.
1. Cheap end Lumix rebadged for Currys. The same as the FS42 which is available for £20 less at Argos. Lacks image stabilisation, Intelligent auto mode and uses lower qualiy lens.
2. It's a pity that it has the lower quality lens (a Lumix lens rather than a Leica lens. Lower quality but not bad) but otherwise it looks fine.
3. It's very similar to to 2 but has a 5x optical zoom. It's actually an FS10 with a store specific name.
4. Not sure. These Samsungs can be a bit hit and miss and generally don't really match Panasonic for quality.
I'd go for 3 as it gets decent reviews but I would look around for a 10 megapixel and superior FS7 or FS62. These have been sold off recently but might still be found.0 -
Thank you so much grahawk, I understand now why when I put in the model numbers I couldn`t get any reviews / info.
M & S has a few Panasonic cameras might they be newer models? also have 2 year warranty and they are chucking in a 4gb card.
I`ll take another look later and see what I can find. No doubt I`ll be back.
Thanks again much appreciated0 -
Just been to ASDA Ashton-U-Lyne and bought the 10MP Fujifilm Finepix Z33WP (waterproof, dust proof and shock resistant).
I've had my eye on it for a while and the cheapest I've seen it online for lately has been about £80 + P&P. ASDA Ashton have got a few left @ £67 but they only come in bright PINK. When I bought it they gave me a free 50 digital prints voucher for buying a camera! BARGAIN!!! Get on board money savers, can't wait to go diving in Mexico!:T0 -
Time to drag this thread up after an extended sleep
Any really good deals been spotted recently for a decent digital camera?
Not after a high-end spec camera, it's a present for the wife who isn't that bothered by gadgets- she's more a "point and click" girl.

Looking for a decent digital camera with a budget of £100, just to take the usual family pics etc
Needs a decent Optical Zoom
Any recommendations, would be brilliant
The last camera I had was a Sony Cyber Shot DSC-P72.
Thanks in advance0 -
Just been looking for Lumix cameras (apparently they're very good) and came across this one at play.com for £79.99. Seems like a good deal!0

Can I throw my 2pence worth in....
When buying a camera from many of the online stores. Think to yourself where you will take it when it goes wrong. now if it is a £80 one fine but when it comes to £800..is saving £20 Really worth the hasel. Also there the online market is flooded with GREY imports...here you run two risks. some come shipped direct from abroad and when they pass through customs they will put on the import duty and the post office will also whack on £40 for collecting the money from you. Also you warranty is only valid if you return it to place of manufacture. No local store is obliged to do anything with apart from laugh at you for saving a few £ which is now null and void.THE SHABBY SHABBY FOUNDER0 -
I got two Kodak ZM1's yesterday in Boots for only £14.99 each, for Christmas gifts for the kids.
Plus I got 3 vouchers per camera purchase, for free 4x6 prints; 10 free when you buy 20 Kodak instant prints, 30 free on the Boots 1 hour service and 50 free on the Boots 24 hour service, all vouchers valid for 6 months! Result!
Definitely better value than PC World's offer, even with further cheap SD card purchase. (which I will not get from Boots. Have you seen their memory card prices?!)0
