:jI have now heard from the Parking and Traffic Appeals Service that City of Westminster will not be contesting my appeal. This is great news. Thanks to all you guys - in particular TheBogsDollocks, JustThisGuy and Coblcris. A great result. I'd be happy to pass on details of my appeal letters etc should anyone
    want them.

    Please do.

Westminster do not contest the vast majority of appeals.

I would suggest that the combined knowledge displayed by BogsDollocks and JustthisGuy should be combined with your letter as there should be very widespread applicability.
A buttoned down appeal on the points could be used by many motorists.
  • Yes, I agree.

I'm happy to post the correspondence on this site but don't think I can attach a pdf file. Is this possible? If not I'm happy to email it to any of you if you let me have an email address.
  • You can upload PDF files on this website - http://www.mediafire.com

Can I edit the file first to remove my personal details etc?

Um sometimes you can with a pdf, but often not, if not you may have to print it and do it manually :/
  • You may want to turn the letter into a bitmap (e.g. a PNG) and then put black bars over personal details. Then upload the edited PNGs to e.g. photobucket.com (can't put that as a link, thanks MSE).

If you have a scanner it may have come with software that can convert the printed page to machine readable text using Optical Character Recognition.

I gave my email address in an earlier post. I think the easiest way would be for me to create a pdf and send it to any of you who want it by email.

    Thanks for all your input.
