Dunno why I'm wasting my time with a numpty like offhisdingdong, but scotland has fantastic food. The venison and beef are but two examples of that.

Leaving Fife is always a bit sad.
.
Seriously I love Burntisland (not been for years), and also further north in St Andrews its lovely (is that still Fife ? d'uh, my map is in the car!).
I actually think the east coast of Scotland is very underated in travel terms, lovely scenery and friendly people. It's just as a Lanarkshire born lass we like to pretend we are allergic to the east coast. The very north (east) is stunning too, Dornoch, Golspie etc. I love the drive north from Inverness. Even the barren aspect of the very north makes it stunning too. I prefer the Cessock Bridge to the Forth Road bridge tbh.Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

It's about as far into Fife as you can get without getting your feet wet. There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.

Aye, What a concidence though. Two posters, both Welsh, both 'Doctors', both soup fetishists and both sharing the same wildly inaccurate and misinformed views about Scotland. Indeed, the only thing they don't appear to have in common is that they are never online at the same time.
What are the chances? There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.

I like to hear non-Scottish people trying to pronounce that sound. But it's easy. If you can say Bach, as in the composer, you can pronounce words like 'loch' or 'keech' too.:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0

I LOVE Scotland! well i've only been Edinburgh, but am constantly nagging OH to go back, and I have finally got my own way :j
Roll on August! both times we have been were in feb this year and march last year, admittedly i nearly froze to death last year but hopefully it will be a touch warmer in Aug.
OH keeps saying he wants to move back up, and I have toi say I am tempted.
And as for it being dirty, maybe it's just where I went but places i have lived in London are far dirtier than Edinburgh!:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -

Not half!
I tell you what I never really liked the Scottish accent before, but now I love it, i love the words, pronunciations(sp?) etc
I remeber my first visit up there last year, after the first day I asked OH who was and where was Ken:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
