I have two vantage accounts + cheque book + debit card, both of which I don't need. I applied for that second account online in med July so there wasn't the opportunity to not get the cheque book and debit card. i even got a package to switch my DD's over plus a form to provide a sample signature. I haven't bothered to do anything about it.0 -

Sorry. We can't process your account application online.However, we may be able to process your application in a Lloyds TSB branch but we need to talk to you further about your application.
Simply call into any Lloyds TSB branch with;
- An original document confirming your identity e.g. passport or driving licence.
- An original document confirming your address e.g. utility bill or bank statement.

I used to get that message as well but kept trying every now and again until it changed and let me open up a second one (and more recently a third) online.
There doesnt seem to be any logic to it that I can see so its worth clicking the link every now and again to see if it allows you.0 -

Just got one Classic vantage account opened at the branch and can now see it online in internet banking, when I click on Apply Online -> Current Accounts link, I get the same annoying message:

I could not find the "manage your finances" link though0 -
Just tried the link and it let me apply for a classic account - worth keep trying.
Can I then upgrade this online to a Vantage account?
Also, am I right in thinking that no interest is paid on anything over 7K - so if you have 7K in the account, it's best to withdraw the interest ASAP as you won't get interest on the interest (if you know what I mean)?0 -

You're correct about not earning 4% on balances over £7,000 (0.10% over £7,000). I keep a balance of less than £7,000 to allow for the interest being added each month.0 -
And the classic account can be upgraded to a vantage? (I can't remember if that is how I did it last time)0

Yes, next to your Classic Account in the Accounts Overview page, there should be an Upgrade link? Click on it and there should be an option to upgrade to Vantage.0 -
Hi,
I'm just wondering have anyone received their monthly interest yet? I know today is the 4th and it's a first working day of January, just curious if the interest delay is due to that, or if I've broken some rules.
