    Just think what that 'could have been avoided' total would have been if you'd not done this spending diary! I don't think you know where your money goes until you do a spending diary.....don't think i'm going to go public though! Too scary! Have a great week xx

    Hi, just wanted to thank you for the spending diary idea!

    I've been trying to do it myself but for the past few days I've been forgetting to write it down. :o I'm back on the spending diary wagon though. It's such a good idea :)

    Another no spend day yesterday, and apart from groceries, very little has been spent all week.

    So, I reach the end of the month without panic - and in fact with a few £££ left in the bank - so this diary certainly kept me on track and made me think a bit before parting with any money!

    Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
    1) MFW Nov 21 £202K now £174.8K Equity 32.77%
    2) £1.6K Net savings after CCs 14/8/25
    3) Mortgage neutral by 06/30 (AVC £25.3K + Lump Sums DB £4.6K + (25% of SIPP 1.2K) = 31.1/£127.5K target 24.4% 15/8/25
    4) FI Age 60 income target £16.5/30K 55.1%
    5) SIPP £4.8K updated 29/7/25
