It sounds like the health check they are doing, just a pretty random check to remind people of their responsibilities etc., nothing much to worry about

Just to let you know I received a letter from them this morning asking me to give them a call. I don't know why but I was worried. Just spoke to a guy, the call lasted about 6 minutes and they just confirmed my work details and my partners plus the childcare I was receiving and our contact details.

He said it was a customer service thing and they needed to make sure peoples details were OK. Nothing to worry about at all (I hope!). If I hear anything back from the call I will let you know.

I have received a letter entitled 'Keeping your Tax Credits Payments right is important'
Its says: We want to improve the service we give you and make sure you gte the right money you are due. To enable us to do this we need to make sure that we have the right information about your current circumstances because we work out your tax credits based on those details. If any of the details we hold for you are incorrect: you may not get all the money you are entitiled to or you may build up an overpayment that you have to pay back.
It then goes on to ask me to call. My letter seems slightly different to others you have discussed and I wondered if anyone has ha this letter before and what the outcome was?
    Thanks xx

nothing to worry about, i get these letters occasionally, just call them, if you have nothing to hide then these calls are nothing to worry about.

They will ask you questions about you and your household, has anything changed etc, all simple things, if you feel there is no change then that's fine, if there has been a change tell them, because it could swing either way if they are paying too much it can be adjusted and you don't get a shock later in the year, your not being paid enough then that's a nice extra for you.
Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?

I got one of those letters on Monday. Called up this morning and because I had renewed my award last week I was only asked if anything had changed. The call lasted just over a minute and the guy I spoke to was lovely.
