Tax Credit Review Team Letter

Hi,
Over the last couple of months I have had 2 letters from the tax credit review team, asking me to contact them to check the information they hold on me is correct. I never got round to contacting them as they were engaged, so updated my info through the 0845 helpline. I have since sent off my renewal form and received my new tax credits award notice. After receiving this, I have had a phone call to contact them Asap, and have only just got the message as I have been away, the office isn't open until Monday. Has this happened to anyone else, I'm so worried on why they want to contact me.

They want to review the details of our award. You should contact them as you will keep getting letters and/or calls until you do.
It doesn't take long and they just need to make sure all of the details on your award are up to date.

Do they want the details of the old reward or new reward? I am so confused!

No, I work for TCO.

They want to review all of the circumstances on your claim - this normally doesn't have anything to do with your income, only the details of your household.

this happened to me, i had to then send copies of bank statements, credit card statements and pay slips. they then did an informal interview over the phone but as i wasnt cheating the system and everything tallied up with incoming and outgoings they were fine. If you have been completely honest with them in your claim form then you have nothing to worry about.

Hi im in exactly the same position as you now, havt called them yet how did you get on when you rang them did they ant details of your old or new reward?
your help would be appriciated

I have received a letter entitled 'Keeping your Tax Credits Payments right is important'
Its says: We want to improve the service we give you and make sure you gte the right money you are due. To enable us to do this we need to make sure that we have the right information about your current circumstances because we work out your tax credits based on those details. If any of the details we hold for you are incorrect: you may not get all the money you are entitiled to or you may build up an overpayment that you have to pay back.
It then goes on to ask me to call. My letter seems slightly different to others you have discussed and I wondered if anyone has ha this letter before and what the outcome was?

mumof2lovelychildren I received this letter this morning, gave them a call straight away. The guy on the other end just took all my details checked names, dob's, income and child care then just said ok it all seems fine and asked me to update them if anything changed.

He said it was a customer service review and they has sent 30,000 letters out.

hi iv recieved a letter saying they want to make sure im getting right amount sounds like a customer service mail shot i rang asap and lady on other end just checked all my details i wander if theres more than one letter to check details their sending out
