    Plasmas give you more bang for your money, and while LCDs can give you better resolution, the price difference is currently too wide. However, if money's not an issue and you want the sharpest image in town, then a large LCD is for you. LCD TVs are thinner and lighter than plasma TVs, making them easier to move and easier to mount on a wall.

    The VERY best tv is still considered to be the Pioneer A500 50" PLASMA
    So im really not sure where your coming from there

    The sharpest image in town will come from a 1080 Plasma. LCDs are generally ahead resolution-wise, as in, 1080 Plasmas are rarer, but they're around now, and have better colour and black reproduction. I think that the picture quality is far more important than being slightly thinner and lighter, this is pretty irrelevant for a big TV that'll move very rarely. Then there's LED TVs. Then OLED...
