My Aldi tv is a Tevion but it does not have a 'badge' on the front so no one knows!

My tv is almost identical to this one, it is 80cm wide and 59cm high including stand. Not had any problems.

DCfc79 further up said the aldi tv might be a medion i looked it up on google if it is they make all sorts of gadgets from sat navs to hi fies. based in uk but not sure what country of origin they are.

Sounds a good deal what aldi are offering so it must be quality kit to give you a 3 year warranty. But could i have a unknown make flat screen in my living room mmm i don't know i suppose it's a badge thing a bit like driving around in a Skoda nothing wrong with them but you know what i mean.

Nothing wrong with Medion, they are a German company with a base in the UK.

I have 2 Medion Computers, one is over 7 years old, one coming up to 4 years old, never had a problem with either of them.

    Both purchased from Aldi.

Not sure if this TV is a Medion tho'.

Medion stuff is generally good- believe they are quite well heard of in Germany, and the one time something I had of theirs broke it was top notch service, they collected it in a box with receipt the same day, and it came back in working order they even phoned to apologise for delay in repair it took about (4 weeks). So that side was good for something out of Aldi.

I like Richer Sounds too, the guys in there were decent to us, took our order and helped us load it as well.

On TV's I think full HD isn't worth paying more for on 32" TV's as you are hard pushed to know the difference between 1080i and 1080p on that size. Sky and Virgin HD are 720p as well aren't they- with Blu-Ray and consoles being the only Full HD stuff. Sony and Panasonic are generally good, I have 2 Sony TV's which are both excellent, for sound as well. LG however make decent TV's as well, they aren't that bad.

I know initially SOME was 720P when it first came out. Is it definitely ALL now 1080i?

Good to see it is 1080i, but in anycase I doubt it will get to 1080p anytime soon- bandwidth reasons!
