Wow - a little dab of this on a cloth got old paint off my daughter's suede shoes. Wish I'd done this when they still fit her!0

Tesco don't stock it in my local store
I asked at CS and they do have it on record but don't think the demand exists. Well course not if you don't stock it, muppet.

I read on an old thread someone asking how much Stardrops to put in the WM but no one seemed to have given a specific amount ( I appologise if that exists elsewhere & I have not yet read it).
I have recently put in 30 mls of neat Stardrops with 2 ounce of Soda Crystals in a white wash on 40 deg and I am pretty impressed with the results, I know a lot of the time the "soaping" issue is more psychological as the Washing Soda is pretty good on it's own;)
However, thought I would give it a try.
The whites are as white ( if not more so) than when I have used more commercial stuff;)
Then there is the Borax.......................
As I am want to cover from hairline to boobs in homemade wrinkle saving gunk on a regular basis, my otherwise clean cotton nightie was looking very grey and gunky around the ribbon and lace trim:o
So I applied a paste of Borax with a toothbrush, scrubbed it well in ( to the ribbon and lace around the neck line)and put it in the wash with the above mentioned Stardrops/Soda mix, the result, well, I have to say I am well impressed:j looks like new, so the neckline now matches the rest of the nightie:D
Whilst we are on the subject of Stardrops I found an old Fairy foaming bottle and washed it out, put in 30 mls of neat Stardrops, then filled to the top with water, shook it up and now have an almost dry foam, that I already have used to "spot-treat" the carpet and an item of clothing with very good results:D not too wet so particularly good for the carpet and upholstery;)0 -
Well, i rread through to post 225 and was gettin eye strain..
Is it possible to have a list of the uses along with the diluted amount?
Would just save reading through all 45 pages!0 -
I do like stardrops and use it for almost everything now. The only other things I get are something for really bad limescale on the shower pipes. But now I will start buying washing up liquid again for pot washing.
I used up all my washing up liquids with the plan to just use stardrops but I am disappointed to find its not so good for washing pots. Its cheap yes but it runs out really fast because you need more, to me it works out more expensive in the end and its not so good on greasy pots n pans etc. The suds do not last very long at all I have to keep changing the water more and using more stardropsThanx

I find it much better than washing up liquid for the pots... i've not had to deal with anything really dried on though - I would probably use soda crystals for that.
I normally soak the washing up in Stardrops / hot water, with a few drops of essential oil - keeps the room smelling nice too!
Thats enough washing-up talk for me... I better go do something masculine to make up for it now.0 -
ordered my first bottle and a microcloth from Asda this week, looking foward to seeing it's uses.
I told my mum about it and what you say about it. When I was little she used Zoraflora I think that was the name, apparently from the same company.
I remember the smell just as much as I remember the smell of Lifeboy soap!HOW MUCH CAN YOU SAVE?: OLYMPIC CHALLENGE 2008BRONZE 10% SILVER 25% GOLD 50% PLATINUM 75%'Don't Stop me now, I'm cooking on Gas!' - Peggy Ollerenshaw - Hi-De-Hi!0 -
Another vote for a list of uses please - maybe on post #1?
I am a virgin Stardrops user and so far have only used it for mopping the floor and spraying kitchen counter...MFW #185

I only bought some today. have yet to use it.
I just think a list of uses with the diluted strengh would have us newbies to this product.
So far I have picked up from this thread-
Floors
kitchen worktops
oven
microwave
bathroom
patio furniture
woodwork
paint work
dishes
carpet stains
clothes stains
Maybe some of the regular uses can add cut and paste and add to the list?
Thanks in advance
Claire
