I'll be straight out to my local semi-chem in the morning (no wilkinsons that I've seen in Edinburgh) and hunt some stardrops down but ... excuse the really stupid question.
Where can I find empty spray bottles to put the diluted stuff in?If you think reality makes sense, you're just not paying attention!0 -

rinsed it out a few times to be sure all the old cleaner was gone
if you would prefer to use a new one then garden centres would sell them (the ones which you would use for a fine mist for fern type plants)
Poundland sometimes have them tooDebt of £6300 cleared in 5 years, now ZERO0 -

ETA: Mine looks like it's made out of some sort of fabric, but v. similar to coffee filter paper, and it's arranged in an accordian style (vertical slats) around a cylander.
Um, would be a bit doubtful about washing it, so - the paper might disintegrate, and even if it didn't, the pleats (I presume that's what you mean?) would be likely to fall out.0 -
With those ones (sounds similar to the one that was on my old vax) I wouldn't even soak it, just literally rinse it like it says to, know someone who soaked one and it fell to bits. One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -

Hi,
I stay in Edinburgh and Stardrops and all related products (Starclen, Starpine etc) can deffo be had in SemiChem. Cheapest place I have seen it so far is the Savers/SemiChem at the top of Dalry Rd. I'm still shopping around though......
No, there is no Wilkos in Scotland......mores the pity(

Im a huge fan of stardrops also and use it all round the house.
For the loo tho, try using a bottle of cheap cola - the sugary kind not diet (you can use the branded stuff but this way is cheaper). Pour it into the bowl, wet all of the inside and leave overnight before flushing.
My daughter is murder for leaving the dregs in the bottle, so I save them up and use them for just that. Worth a try?
Heard this on houses behaving badly I think.. but have also found it on google searching, see http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20061230083401AAErosU
Hope this helps!
