  • I forgot to say that we're moving in 4 weeks and don't want to loose our holding deposit so everything has to be tip-top.

As often as we clean our oven, I was shocked to see it in such a bad state
 My hubby was really negative saying that there's no way I'll be able to get it clean without full-strength oven cleaner. I used normal stardrops (not even the starclean) and it has made the glass door gleam!! I swear, there is no mark to be seen and we all know how bad oven doors get :o

I am so glad that me and my Stardrops have proved him wrong :T :T

I got some Starclens from Semi Chem - I think it's the cheapest place - paid 69p for it. The Stardrops was 58p

ive found that stardrops works on stains on kitchen work tops as well as clothing

there was a curry sauce stain grrrr :( and it wouldnt come off with diluted solution so i poured neat SD on , covered it with a cloth, left for 10 mins and wiped away and it was all gone :)

Due to time ive not read all the thread as there are too many pages.

So, does anyone know if I can use it on granite worktop?

I usually just clean them with water and an e-cloth which works well but i was wondering if I clean my sink, taps etc with the stardrops and get some on the worktop will it actually harm them? You have to be careful with some substances on granite. Does anyone know?

Oh and another thing. Is there somewhere on here that tells you what the abreviations mean? I don't understand what have of you are talking about at times :o
It is unwise to pay too much but it's worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, all you lose is a little money... that is all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot...it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better (John Ruskin - 19 ctry author, art critic & social reformer)

I am just about to run out of bathroom and kitchen cleaner and am going to fill the bottles with diluted stardrops. What sort of dilution should I use? I have a real tendency to use too much so I don't want to make it too strong. And would it be ok to pop some Zoflora in the bathroom one too?

I put about 1/2 inch of Stardrops in the bottle and then fill it up with water.

You see I would have probably done a quarter Stardrops! Thanks for saving me from myself moggins!
  • On a different thread I asked for advice on how to get mud stains out of sports kit, and Stardrops was suggested.

I went out and found both Stardrops and Starclens on the shelf in Morrisons, so I bought both.

I used Stardrops neat on the worst stains, then soaked the kit in warm water with a squirt of Stardrops, left it an hour then scrubbed with a brush, before washing as normal. Some marks are still left, but one hell of an improvement.

It spurred me on and now my oven door has never looked so clean.

My confusion is, what is the difference between Stardrops and Starclens? I am not sure which one I should be using for what job.

Thanks to this thread for the recommendations!!
