Got an awfully limescaled shower door as a good test for it!!!!
Me too - i've tried it out on my interior doors and honestly they are really gleaming. Bought 2 bottles and just gave 1 to my Dad to have a go.
Why have i never noticed it on the shelves before??
Only problem I've got is I'm working nights tonight so I was hoping to go to bed for an hour but I can't stop cleaning :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Little Miss Chatterbox

Hi all
Sorry if this has been covered already in the thread - but it is very long!
I was just wondering about using Stardrops for washing up and washing clothes in the machine.
Re - washing up - should I dilute it or can it be used just like washing up liquid, i.e. a squirt into the bowl (obviously it's going to get diulted in there anyway)
Does anyone use it to wash clothes in the machine (it says hand laundry on the bottle) and if so, how? Into the tray or into one of those plastic balls, and what kind of amount? On another board someone said a tablespoon of Stardrops and teaspoon of soda cystals, does that sound about right?0 -

Just my own personal 'tried and tested' formula - a tablespoon of cheapo washing powder and about the same again of soda crystals in a ball in the drum, then a squirt (half a tablespoon, no more or you'll be lost in bubbles!) of Stardrops in the dispenser drawer. If there's a stubborn stain I put a little Stardrops on a toothbrush and scrub it in before the main wash, maybe just luck but I've never had a stain that it doesn't shift yet.
Re washing up, I've used a teaspoon to a bowl of hot water, but be aware that the bubbles don't last. That's not a bad thing, we're just conditioned to think if there are no bubbles it isn't working! It's particularly good for glasses and shifts grease off the roasting pans. I always rinse everything afterwards including my hands.0 -
I've been meaning to go get myself some Stardrops for ages, having seen it so highly praised here! I'm off up to Morrisons tonight, so I'll make a special point of getting it.
In the meantime, I have a question - apologies if its already been covered, but this thread is sooooooo long! I have an enamel bath and I hate it, truly hate it - I've tried everything for cleaning it and nothing I use seems to make a difference. Has anyone tried Stardrops / are Stardrops suitable / any advice?
Thanks!

Aeshna xI use neat Stardrops on one of those sponge washing up thingys with the green scoury bit on the other side - I forget the proper name for now. I use the scrubby side as the gunk builds up quickly here mostly due to DD's copious use of hair conditioner:eek: Then I rinse the bath out & it always gleams. I used to spend a fortune on the bath power mousse things but not any more since I discovered Stardrops :T

I got some a week or so ago and cant believe how much you can use it for. I have a big corner bath which GLEAMS now, and goos for tiles too.
I put some in an old Mr Muscle squirty bottle diluted for cleaning shelves and stuff. Best cleaning product ever! Ive even used it on my floor tiles, works a treat.A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
