Sorry ange....i just felt dee gave so much to this forum and never asked for anything in return...why should she? A lot of people never knew about her own personal heartache because she never wanted pity...she lived with her lot....no matter what life threw at her.But she still spent many hours helping us. The same goes for lots of posters on here. We have our own personal demons to deal with....but we are the only ones who can choose what path to take.....regardless of whether it is the right one.We are all responsible for our own actions. Time will tell.

I just think that the time taken in responding to ALL of merlins post is maybe depriving others willing to take advice given! End of:rolleyes:

    Agreed.

Dee Dee was awe inspiring. She was one of the people that kept me going. I didn't post much on her threads, simply because I felt...well...in awe of her.

So, Merlin...life is there for living....go grab it. This is not a "dress rehearsal" this is the real thing. I don't do "problems" ... I turn them into "challenges"... and life is a challenge.

I'm going to butt out now as I've had a glass of wine and, whilst enjoying it, and off to get myself another...might be found to be drunk in charge of a keyboard!

    Merlin,
I have read most of your posts and to be honest, and a few of the regular posters beat me to my reply. You are a attention seeker, who seeks reaction and sympathy. Yes you have problems, but compared to others who have so much heartache, your problems pale. Pull yourself together and stop feeling sorry for yourself. Tommorrow you will feel the sun on your face, others will not. No more self pity posts please, we have all been there. ( more than you ever will know )

    Says it all for me...

We are fed up with your self indulgence Merlin. Grow up, move on, get over yourself. (Of course, we will be pleased to offer advice on how to do that - not that I think you will actually listen).

But I am sick of the stuck record "Woe is me" posts. Leave it out.

In short Merlin has been planting some pity bombs around the place and coupled with a rather rude response to a well meaning post by a very well meaning poster said pity bombs have blown up in Merlins face.

Hopefully some lessons might be learnt here about gratitude and humility and acceptance but we will see- fingers crossed.

    Merlin sweetheart....

You have phases of great helpfulness to others....and then everything goes pear-shaped.......I will say what I said a couple of months ago....

Please go and see your GP.... NOW....while you are feeling like this......

I'm so sorry that you have been victimised and drawn the short straw...Life Sucks sometimes...it is never pleasant...and even worse so when we have no support network.....

....There are many others on these boards in similar situations..moi aussi......perhaps the way they handle things and thus gain the support network they have and value on here is worth investigating......

In the mean time...either please go see your GP.......or, if relevant, please start taking your existing medication again......

Whatever, ......I wish you peace of mind..and hope that sometime soon you will be able to move forwards..

    Kind regards

    Hi All,

I posted earlier on this and can say that Merlin has been on other forums "techie stuff" as recently as 11:21pm tonight - he is either looking for sympathy, a reaction or is mentally unstable. He certainly has not replied to any of these posts - will we have another rant tomorrow or Sunday? I don't know but what I will say is I for one will not "react" to his posts any longer as there are far more deserving people who need my help (with the little experience that I have). I would hope that others feel the same.

    Hi restofmylife,

I admit to having a nosy on the dfw board early and caught sight of another post by merlin re testing people or something, tbh I didnt read all of it but did get the gist of it. I feel the same way and will not be posting any further to the provocative posts by merlin as actually upon reflection it seems attention is what is required and quite honestly it is not in the best interest of this forum. I hope that this subject can be now put to bed so to speak.
