No they don't have an expiry date - they are the same as the gift vouchers you would purchase anywhere else.0

Has anyone got Piggypoints from the Ebay offer?
I went through the Pigsback link, but I was already a registered user although I generally only sell, not buy. However, I did bid, but I'm not holding my breath for the 300 points...
OH also went through Pigsback, and he registered as he doesn't use Ebay at all, but he did buy an item but it was a BIN - will this still count as a "bid" as far as Pigsback terms and conditions go??0 -

My points were credited within 6 days of making my first bid.Saving is the new spending! :A0 -

Not sure where your OH stands on his BIN now, but my eBay points were credited within a few days after registering a new account through the link. If you registered more than 3-4 weeks ago, it seems unlikely you will get your points without chasing them up. Good luck!0 -

The problem of posting information that has already been posted is a delicate one
, yet it should not be.
The reposting of comps, click-throughs, etc., is boring for people like me, who spend far too much time on the forum. On the other hand, it can be useful for people who have to pay brief visits to the thread, and don't have time to read through everything.
The fact is that it is generally considered poor "netiquette" to duplicate postings, just as it is to repeat what other people have said in a spoken conversation. In general, newbies to any forum are advised to read for some weeks before posting themselves, in order to catch the tenor of postings, learn about contributors already active, discover the group's etiquette, etc. There are no strict rules on this, of course.
In the case of MSE, may I direct people to what Martin has written in his "Instructions, Rules and Guide to Chat" which you can find here?
My emphasis.MSE_Martin wrote:Welcome New MoneySavers: Do take the time to read this – it will make life a lot easier.MSE_Martin wrote:How do I find out whether my subject is already being discussed?
It's always worth checking to see if the information you are looking for is already on the site.
<snip>
Search the Chat/Discussion boards. Someone may have already asked a similar question. To check use the search engine at the top of this page. It is a powerful search tool with many options. If the subject is similar, why not continue that discussion and put your question/suggestion there rather than starting a new one.
In the case of our thread here, the only thorough way of checking is to read the whole thread - but then, if you're a keen PB-er, that's what you want to do, isn't it?
It's good to rely on contributors' thoroughness, as you can click on links with confidence. Unfortunately, I usually find that, clicking on many links, I get PB's "You've already entered this comp" message. Frustration and time wasted.
Finally, we should all bear in mind the oft-repeated maxim from the same post of Martin's quoted above:
:AMSE_Martin wrote:And remember…. Be nice to your fellow MoneySavers
Now, I know that I can be a little abrasive at times (in fact, it's part of droopsnout's persona when it comes to criticising PB), but I do try to be polite when being critical! I must say that if I have a criticism of Marigold123, it is that she is FAR TOO NICE!!!

Hi, FloFlo.FloFlo wrote:Anyone registered with Lightspeed are they OK?

I've been a member of Lightspeed for quite some time. I receive lots of surveys, but the problem until now is that the rewards for completing them have been poor: only entries to a prize draw. If I tell you that in several years of doing them, I have never won anything, that may tell you something. Other survey companies offer something more tangible, like Nectar points, Luncheon Vouchers, etc.
The good news is that Lightspeed will be operating a points reward system shortly, and that may make it better, as everyone contributing to their research will benefit, even if in a small way.
I am a panellist for loads of survey companies, and was spending too much time on them. I had to give some up, and Lightspeed has certainly had less attention from me because of their poor reward system. That may now change.
Just one more thing to add ... I have had a couple of long questionnaires from Lightspeed, rewarded with £5 shopping vouchers. These are quite good and can be spent in High Street stores, and with some online retailers. Such surveys are few and far between, though.Much of the social history of the Western world over the past three decades has involved replacing what worked with what sounded good. - Thomas Sowell, "Is Reality Optional?", 19930 -
I tend to do an occasional survey with them, but haven't won anything yet (been with them since July). However, I've had a few where you're guaranteed a voucher (I had Boots onesFloFlo wrote:Any comments on Lightspeed?

).
As Droopsnout said, they're not the greatest survey company around, but I think it's worth sticking with them for the occasional survey where you're guaranteed a voucher. Besides, we'll see if anything improves once they're introduced the new points system.
There's another old thread on Lightspeed HERE if you're interested.
