Pinkgem do watch the overseas signed for options though. Only International signed for is fully tracked and that only covers a few countries. If you use airsure it only guarantees to track in the UK, so not really suitable for paypal chargebacks.

    Wrong way around Soolin.

Airsure is fully tracked and does appear to cover Malaysia

International Signed for is tracked only until it leaves the UK, although for some countries it is occasionally possible to track ut further on overseas receipt.

    Airsure:

Use Airsure® to send your mail quickly and safely to 30 destinations in the following three geographic postal zones:

Europe: Andorra, Austria, Azores, Balearic Islands, Belgium, Canary Islands, Corsica, Denmark, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Madeira, Monaco, Netherlands, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

World Zone one: Brazil, Canada, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and USA.

    World Zone two: New Zealand

Please note that if your destination isn’t included in the above list, the Airsure® service cannot be used, although you can still send your item via International Signed For™.

Are all Airsure® items electronically tracked until they are delivered? We track all Airsure® items until they leave the UK and then the item is handed over to the destination country's postal service as a priority item. In most circumstances you will also be able to get electronic confirmation of delivery via Track & Trace.

    International signed for:

All items are tracked until they leave the UK – and in some cases on arrival in the destination country. Check the progress of your item online until it reaches the destination country’s postal service as a registered item.

  • You can track ISF via the destination country's post office websites.

Some, of course, are better than others.

  • These would be my reasons not to:

    - Makes your postage prices uncompetitive
    - Does it still have a big orange sticker? (Been a while since I bothered with it) Highly visible and a good indicator that the contents could be of value
    - There is no insurance advantage of recorded over a proof of postage. Exactly the same compensaiont level.
    - The biggie: it has a low chance of being signed for and / or correctly logged in the system, which means it's useless in the event of a dispute

How can you tell that it has npt been tracked properly? I know that its on the royal mail website, it tried a few. Some come up as Item DW.... has been accepted at...
Does that mean that it has not been tracked?

    Many thanks

That means they have not been delivered according to the Royal mail tracking. 'Accepted' it just means you have handed them in at a PO and so would lose a paypal chargeback.

Unfortunately if you are getting the untracked problem then you would still lose a paypal chargeback, you do need to question whether the 75ps are worth it.

However, assuming these have actually been delivered then you can use a standard claim form and claim back the 75p service that you didn't get. The forms don't make any sense at all for this sort of claim, but do the best you can and send them all in together with a covering letter explaining you are only claiming back the cost of the service you didn't get. I usually get a book of stamps for each untracked item.

Obviously if item actually hasn't arrived then you need to do a full claim.
