Does anyone have a pic. of a baby clothes bouquet before they have put it in the box. I am managing to do the socks and small items but I am struggling with the large items, especially the wrapping as it goes from the piece of clothing to the stem (if you know what I mean):o
Also do you tape all the stems together and do they just sit in the box when finished?0 -

I just make mine in exactly the same way as the baby ones I do and they seem to turn out ok. Maybe its the type of socks you are using? maybe too thick or too thin or too long?

Wow well done Irishgirl!!!
I have to say I have a serious problem with these nappy cakes though... I had NO sleep at all last night as I was tossing and turning in bed thinking about possible designs and trying to work out profit margins, in the end I came downstairs at 6 this morning to stop disturbing OH and to practice, I eventually had an hour and half sleep with DS at 9am this morning.
I have also realised what I was doing wrong, I was looking at your lovely cakes and others online and trying to re-create them for "budget" market and impulse purchases, It's not possible to this and have realised the secret - to have 2 types of nappy cakes - a basic version and then an all singing all dancing deluxe version so this lead me to thinking up double the amount of cakes!!!
My one question now is what do you think is more important to have in a nappy cake - toiletries or clothes??
BTW - here are my impulse bath time mini cakes
It contains
8 x Nappies (cost of 64p)
Johnson's Bath Soap (cost of 22p)
Rubber Duck (cost of 31p)
1 x Muslin Square (cost of £1.00)
Cellophane (approx cost of 12p)
Ribbon (approx cost of 4p)
Total Cost = £2.31
I was thinking about selling these at £3.99 - does that seem acceptable to you?0
