lovely cakes ladies
and the cupcakes are lovely.
i went to the local florists today to get tape to finish off a bouquet and she hadn't a clue what i was on about - luckily i had my phone and a few pics of bouquets and cakes on it. she has now asked me to make a few things up to take down to her to sell and take orders for in her shop and she also has a website that she says gets loads of traffic and wants to sell on there too - she seems very excited (perhaps too excited ?) so the next few nights i shall be making up some stuff for her. only thing is that shes a few doors down from the chemists and she wanted a different design to what he has - even tho hes only ever ordered 8 cakes and whe i went in today the 2 he has left were on the floor and the teddy had fallen out of 1 and was lying next to it ad the other had obviously been kicked a few timeslol i'm not half waffling on.
heres a pic of my latest bouquet0 -
I'm stuck!!!
Can anyone help please - I'm trying to wrap a blanket around a single tier cake - I know how to wrap the blanket so it goes around the nappies but I can't get it to look neat when I wrap it over and around (- does that make sense??) I saw that there was a diagram on a thread before and I can't find it now and I've looked on the internet on how to wrap a blanket around nappies but they only show it going around the nappies and not over and around.
Thanks in advance

I don't wrap over at all not even on a single tier. Once the teddy is on top and maybe some socks you can't really see the nappies. if you look at a lot of the american sites they don't even cover the nappies with anything.
I just had a phone call from a lady who saw one of my ads and she wants me to place an advert in her mag she want's hundreds for one tiny ad. I don't think so lady sorry.
Someone stop me now! i have just done a little stock take and i have 22 packs of nappies and 30 packs of wipes Plus i am sure there may be some hidding somewhere. Good job i am pg they will come in handy when the littleun comes.:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boysWant to be fit for 30 not fat at 30but i want never gets!!!0 -

Thanks Louby - I'm not putting a teddy on top, just a rubber duck and bar of soap and I can't get it to look neat... Damn these sausage fingers!!!
I spotted some bargains last night
Johnson's baby soap (4 x 100g pack) - 86p in Asda
And if anyone has access to a Macro they have a 9 pack of Pampers Sensitive wipes on offer for £5.45 + VAT
I've been on the hunt for Johnson products again and was wondering what size everyone puts in their cakes, in £land, HB and other places like that they are only 200ml (although they've all got 50% extra free in making it 300ml - but as it's written in big letters I didn't know if this would look cheap) they are selling 300ml in Asda but that's £1.50/bottle. What's everybody else's opinion?0 -

I called into the packaging store it was the wrong box that was on offer for a tenner (it was a smaller one and he gave me few samples to play with)but he gave me a sleeve of 160 of the boxes for 14 quid which works out at 9 pence per box so i bought it here is the piccy of finished box the bow needs adjusting.
top of box with label
Irishgirl - these look lovely!!! where did you get the boxes? and how much were they - I've been after something like that for a while!! :T0 -

I use various sizes and charge accordingly, but i find the very large sizes difficult to fit in 2 & 3 tiers but look ok in a single bathtime cake.

Gorgeous cakes everyone! and Angelkay, your pink Bouquet is beautiful!
Irishgirl66 - Your cupcakes look lovely in the packaging you've got and i love the pink ribbon.0 -
Thanks Jo-Jo
I'm so nervous about wanting to keep costs down but not appearing too cheap - I normally buy the really big 500ml for me to use at home (OH walks off in shame when I'm in the supermarket aisle with a calculator working out whats the best value/ml) but I know they can appear chunky.
I've managed to find the 200ml bottles of Johnson's baby lotion and baby bath for just over 86p/bottle as there is currently no offers on this is working out the cheapest.
Oh btw if anyone has a Tesco Clubcard, their points are currently worth double the value in the Baby and Toddler... If this makes sense... as I must be the only person in the world that doesn't have a clubcard, I miss out on this too :rolleyes:0
