Hi how is everyone doing
Ok! I'm now on maternity leave but rolling socks whenever I can!! A quick question. Are we allowed to use florists diamante pins in foam flowers when making baby bouquets?
An interesting observation: the most popular baby bouquet on the well known auction site is made up of Primark socks bibs etc. I avoid Primark but now not sure if this is necessary ? Do you all use Primark. I do for my own children.

BakersNappyCakes wrote: »Hi all,
I've been looking at the thread and so pleased with the amount of information I can use from it. So firstly thank you everyone
I started making nappy cakes in July and have sold about 10, I started a facebook page, and have 94 likes and have also done a craft fair recently.
I really am looking to expand further, just wondered if a website is a good idea and how I would go about setting one up, without spending too much money.
Any help would be greatly received and please check out my facebook page Baker's Nappy Cakes and Baby Gifts
Many Thanks in advance
First of all well done in making and selling your nappy cakes, with regards to a website I think you will find that a fully incorporated ecommerce website is going to set you back over £500 for just a basic one, it's one thing having a website but a totally different ball game when it comes to optimizing it, Search Engine Optimization can cost anything from £50 per month to thousands per month which is what the big companies pay to keep them on page one.
There are free template websites available and some do have a shopping cart but they are very basic and not usually attractive, a website would do you no good at all if people cannot find you that is why SEO is so important and worth considering in order to move up in Google page ranking. Hope this has given you something to think about, just message me if you need to know anything else.

Janey- did you get my pm about the cupcake soaps you posted on here about? They look so lovely (would have problems not wanting to nibble to see if they really are soap!). I'm really interested in the supplier/wholesale place that sell them for my charity, I know lots of very poorly girls who would be cheered up by them and I know mums stuck in hospital with their kids for months on end would be cheered up by one too.
Chillin- what a weird question 'how do you know the socks are new', I would love to of asked the person who said that to you where they think second hand baby socks are sold and how much money that would save you! I had someone who said their daughter was more than happy to have second hand things in the cake they ordered but when I researched it was going to cost about the same if not more to buy second hand (I guess if you can go to boot sales or something it might not be but even so!). Don't be discouraged by some people's negative commentsBest wins in 2013 £200 and Mini iPad. 2014 no wins. 2015 2 nights 5* hotel with £300 vouchers plus £1150 Harrods gift card
