    Hello everyone

I'm going to have a go at making a nappy cake for some friends who have just had their first baby. Am reading as much of this thread as I can (and looking through the old one) to try and pick up some hints and tips.

Going to get all the bits I need this week and hopefully will be able to post some pictures soon pf my first attempt :)

  • Hi - I've made and sold 5/6 cakes and was wondering at which point I am meant to tell the tax people? Their site just makes the mind boggle ...do I need to tell them - don't think I'm ever gooing to do more than 1 a week(if I'm lucky!) Any advice,/pointers on what I should be doing would be very much appreciated..x Thanks.

Hi I'm a newbie here. I have just started making nappy cakes and love it. Its great that everyone seems to support each other. I need as much advice as anyone can give. Im just setting up my website and would love to know where the best place is for packaging boxes for delivery and which companies you use.

I just bought a pack of bright coloured silicone cases from Wilkinsons £2!:o

    Hi Katie
I use these and have boxes custom made to the size I require, they are the cheapest I have come across.

  • Hi everyone, sorry to bother you all... i'm after some advice.

What are the legal requirements for selling nappy cakes? Are there things you have to do... i.e keeping the tags on items? etc etc? (not sure i've explained that question correctly eek)

There is so many things that confuse me but when they come to me i shall come back and ask - if that's ok of course!

    cheers :)

Hiya Giggle, thanks for getting back in touch... so if I bought a teddy say from primark.. would I keep the primark tag on it? as well as it's own labels/tags ? Sorry if that sounds so thick!

how would it work for socks/little cloths if I was making little cupcakes/roses with them? Or is it just common sense? Think why i'm like this is because I gave a friend one and another of her friends asked the question I guess we don't wanna hear... "how'd you know they socks are new" (this was a gift - haven't sold anything.. too blinking nervous to lol)
