This was my stall at the craft fair.
Wow, your stall looks fantastic. It's a shame you didn't do so well, but fingers crossed for next time.
My first fair is this Sunday. Not sure how I am going to set my stall up yet, but have got plenty of stock made up now. I need to do a trial run at home!0 -
Thanks sweet pea, I expected the stall to be deeper than it was. I do like how inviting it looked but think the nappy cakes over powered it a bit. I think next time I would try and make the smaller gifts more prominent although they were at the from so not sure how to do this? I have just booked in for one this Saturday so fingers crossed, it's at a church hall. Not really sure what to expect.
I really hope yours goes well, having a practice set up is a good plan.:)Looking forward to new ventures :beer:0 -
looks good zangels, hope you have better luck this weekend.
Maria, I just use the packs of 5 from Poundland, they are very small and thin but useful for decorating nappy cakes, bouquets and cupcakes. I've seen thicker ones in Boots.
Also I meant to share this with everyone. Several people asked me what a feeding cloth was on Saturday, I just happened to have one that I hadn't made into anything so I was able to show people and I think it really helped.Overdraft: [STRIKE]£529[/STRIKE] £199 BC: [STRIKE]£697.82[/STRIKE] £1974.02 MBNA: [STRIKE]£1874[/STRIKE] £517.00 -

I know I am seriuously just packing in with them. There are still problems with the site that I have been asking them to fix for weeks. I have mentioned to him that I am thinking of going it alone and use a free website builder, to which he responded saying that you never see a website built in that way in the top search results. Well mine doesnt come up in search's on nappy cakes and i'm paying £50 a month!!
Do you get much business through your website Louise??
Thanks
sharon
Hi Sharon,
My BF is a web designer & developer. To get top ranking with Google you need to pay a good company to do SEO work but this can be quite expensive. A comany he works with charges £300 per month just for SEO but you can get it for £100. Template websites, which is what you have got, can rank high with Google but they need alot of work SEO wise. The words you use in your text also plays a part. You must have the correct 'keywords' for people to find you and your site to have a high ranking. I would invest your money by having a website built for you with a proper company. They can develop the 'coding' of a site to make sure it is serach engine friendly. I don't like all these build-it-yourself things, they are never as good as the real thing. If you do need advice please message me, I would be more then happy to help. By the way I have been a lurker on this thread, I am attempting to make my own cakes now I have all the ingredients.0 -
Giggle - it's fab!
