  • Website looks great, did you do that yourself? I have had one made costing me £50 a month (renting it rather thn buying out right) and not had one sale through it, so very dissapointed. I just dont feel they are doing their job properly. I have a facebook page too - sweet cheeks nappy cakes. Website of the same name.

I would like to set up a maternity/baby retail website, but its fundsand time holding me back.. How on earth do you do it with 6 kids!?!

Your cakes look good, you should be proud of yourself.

Thank you very much. I'm not very adventurous with the cakes yet but I hope I will get there! I did have a website through moonfruit but I had to list each item seperately because it didn't give you sizing options and then I couldn't do combined postage so now I am at thebabylocker.com instead of .co.uk and that one is through vistaprint, you buy the domain and set it all up how you want it. I bought the premium one with all the features and you get free business cards too so that's good!

I have just looked at and 'liked' your page, your cakes are fab!

I have to make cakes of a night time (even my practise ones) with the kids being about in the day, even though they are at school now I still have the baby and he's a real mummys boy so I don't get a chance to do much. The clothes side of it I was lucky in that I had a little bit of help but I also bought some each week from wholesalers that didn't have a minimum order too. I want to start doing toddler and maternity too but I will see if this kicks off first x
  • I was just wondering, for those that sell and post your cakes how do you pack them? It took me ages to find a box just the right size last week! I am yet to find out if it got there in one piece so am panicking about that, bloody parcel force! It was meant to be there saturday but it didn't turn up and when I track it it says in progress so I am hoping it's not lost or damaged :/ So yeah, do you buy boxes in bulk if so from where or how do you send them?

£50 a month thats alot im a 3rd year uni student doing webdesign and your website is really nice but i would never charge £50 a month for it, alot of companys charge xx amount per month because its easier to pay for some people rather than a one off payment of maybe £200 to £300 pounds but in the long run this £50 will end up costing you a fortune :(

I know I couldnt afford to have one made, so this seemed like the best option for the time being. All seemed really good to start off with but I dont think they have done any seo. I started to get a few more visitors when I took out an adwords campaign. I want to change loads on there but when I email them they are not answering me - bery annoying. They have said I can buy it off them for £800, but I am no website designer!
