Can I get a little help? Im making my first nappy cake for my friend (just had her wee girl this morning)
so need to get it done asap. How do you cover up the nappys on each tier at the top (if that makes sense)
I have blankets for round the edges but you can still see the tops of the nappies. Any help would be really appreciated.
Thanks0/2013

Nuninge, This is a pic of the back of the blanket. Hard to explain how I tuck it in - I fight with it a bit but basically one end gets tucked into the other.
I pin it till I put the ribbon on but to be honest they are pretty tight and wouldn't come undone anyway.
Hope it has helped a bit. I think you just have to play around with things untill they work for you.
Whoops! forgot pic. Thought I could cut and paste but it wouldn't let me this time (done it before) so had to upload to photobucket first.0 -

Becs and Moonpenny, gorgeous cakes. There are some lovely ones on here just lately.
Nuninge - regarding the blanket fastening, I do the same as Moonpenny and tuck mine in, pin then remove pin after the ribbon is on, although occasionally I have used those plastic clips that you get with shirts that are folded up in packets.
Janey - thanks for the home bargains tip. I have got two near to where I live so will check them both out - not that I need any blankets though, my little girl's wardrobe is bursting with nappy cake blankets, LOL!0 -
Well it's official girls, Primark no longer do the plain soft blankets in Pink, Blue and Lemon, the new designs now have white spots on the pink one, and dog bones on the blue one.....yes that's right I said 'dog bones' the cream one however is gorgeous :T..... Janey0
