hello, i had some interest in 2 cakes this week (not finalised yet so just maybes). I want to do the cupcakes but just can't master them. the carolines pad instructions confused me but i just cant make them delicate like some peoples ares. i finally managed to get the silicone cupcake cases, im sure they were £2 for 12 but got charged £2.50 and i had brought 4 lots which is annoying. I was using asdas socks (white ones with coloured tips). How do i get them to look delicate? they look too small or too big if i use 2 pairs.
Also where does everyone get their roses from? ive been after some for a while (pink, blue, yellow and maybe ivory) but any other than ivorey seem expensive.
my other question is about muslins, i brought the 3 packs from asda but the strong colour just doesnt look right, i dont want to have to get rid of a 1/3rd of every pack, what does everyone do with the stronger colours?
Im now thinking of doing a stall, i would love to know what everyones best sellers are, and some ideas of some extras?
Thanks as alwaysBest wins in 2013 £200 and Mini iPad. 2014 no wins. 2015 2 nights 5* hotel with £300 vouchers plus £1150 Harrods gift card

Asda have now put the price up for the silicone cupcake cases so they are now £2.50
Could you not goggle on the cupcakes to see if there is anything on line im now good at trying to get over how i do mine sorry.
Muslins again im going to be no help here as my friend gets me mine from a warehouse so all the same shade.
My best sellers change from one week to the next but i find my new dads gifts sell very well as do my cupcakes with the ducks
I will have a look later at my books and see what sold best at my 2 last fairsI Love My Computer Because My Friends Live In It0 -

TIA:dance: Thanks to everybody in the crafting threads who inspired me to start my own business!!0 -
Firstly 'Thank You' to you all for the inspiration
I made a 'cake' for my nieces Christening back last year and it was well recieved,so much so i had orders for other cakes!!
I am no longeer able to continue making nappy cakes due to other commitments & lack of time and am considering putting my remaining stock on Ebay.
I have blankets,muslin,vests,hats,nappies(ready rolled!),socks,bibs,scratch mitts,baby talc/soap and a selection of teddies(winnie the pooh,ellies & blankies)
Would any of the 'nappy cake makers' of this thread be interested?
Shall i list individually? or in a bulk lot?

Did you see the instructions that I pasted into a post the other day? I found Caroline's ones very confusing too. The instructions that helped me were that you simply have 2 socks, one on top of the other and, starting from the foot of the sock, roll the sock tightly, then when you get to the end, pull the end of one of the socks round the bottom.
For the roses, there is one online site I know of. Just google Twiddleys wholesale. Hope that helps. Debbie x£11,000 in 2011
