Thanks for the comments about the socks - but what about any advice on neatening the shape - or getting the clothes wrapped neater? I'm sort of embarrassed to give it, scared that it will just look a mess and won't be liked :(

Hello, its nothing to be embarrassed about. Could the blanket/shawl be folded so the baby bear bit is straight? I know some blankets are easier than others to fold. I've only been at it for a few months so im sure someone with more experience can help, but i would probably take the bib off the bottom tier and just hide it in the cake so its a bit more simple. I like the "I love milk" bib in the middle but have never managed to make a bib look neat!

How about ebay or the pound shops maybe mothercare :D

Don't really know why i didn't have a proper look on ebay before :o seems some bargains think a lot are more for card making crafts but at some of the prices is worth a shot. Thankyou

It's not a bib! It's a lovely romper suit which has an animal face further down and a tail on the back! :) The hat on the top came with it as a 2 piece set. :)

Yes I am having trouble with folding things nice and then making them stay nice when I get them onto my cake!

All the ones on here are so perfect and gorgeous that I feel a bit of a failure :(

dawnylou, Personally, I am hopeless at getting clothes to look neat on the outside, hence I put them inside the cake. Once the ribbons are added, they look great.

Hi Dawny, ive started to learn not to compair with ones on here as a lot of these ladies have been doing it a long time and are pro's. I felt like you do with my first one, my Mum had choosen the stuff to go in and had picked what she liked (the cake was for her friend) and some of the stuff was a nightmare to try and fold and make it look good. i feel ive mastered nappy cakes now but only because ive discovered what can be made to look good so stick to those items. Im sure your friend will actually be delighted with the one you have done her, it does still look good and its a nice way to present the gifts to her :)
