Giggle - that is amazing well done - what kind of shop do you stock them in?

    (IM SOOO NOSEY)

Hollie - thanks for that - i have made some buisness cards and posters etc - my mum has a pub so have some displayed there, also going to have a cake party where i can display all my cakes and hopefully get orders.

I have set up a facebook page but only have 100 or so friends.

May have to start leaving my cards everywhere.

Thanks everyone for all the usefull info i really appriciate it.
Sorry if i sometimes seem a little # thick # or nosey, i have ME - CFS and have foggy brain days where i dont know the answers to simple questions lol - thanks again for your help :A:A
The shop i do the best in is a gift shop where its all craft stuff :)

I had a craft fair yesterday long day but was well worth it hope anyone else that had fairs did well :T

Hi, here's my nappy cake for my sil and a bunch of reusable fleece wipe flowers for a friend's new baby, not bad for a first go for someone with no artistic talent at all. What do you think?
My next challenge is a cake for my neice, who's 12, so I'm thinking a sleepover cake of some sort. Any idea what I could put in it, I was thinking a pair of pj's or maybe a nice satin nighty?
Any suggestions from mums of pre-teenagers?

    Hi All
I have spoken to Trading Standards about making nappy cakes to sell, and it sounds very complicated to make sure you conform to various regulations. Has any one had a visit or have any advice on this?
I really enjoy making these gifts but it seems that making them to sell is a whole different kettle of fish!
Thank you in advance, this thread has given me lots of inspiration!

  • 40 cakes .... well done Natnat!
I am trying to restock myself at the moment ready for a relaunch after having done nothing for about 3 months due to having a baby. she was 6 weeks today! With 2 boys under 4 it is hard to find the time. Planning a big relaunch in my town in september when I can hit all the offices etc. Will post some pics up as I manage to get cakes done up.
As for Trading Standards. I just leave labels and packaging on all goods. If I have to take something out eg plate I put the packaging with instructions for use!?! underneath cake but on top of cake board. I hope this sort of covers me. I have insurance to sell at craft fairs. cost about £50.
