Thanks CandyB, Wow! that was some order!
She originally saw a cake they I had made for my cousin. She works for a massive vets practice, so I very often get calls from her for cakes, plus she's handed out some leaflets to her friends and family. It started as 2 cakes then through the week became 3, then 4 .... and then added a toolbelt. I just hope it continues :D

Just made my first ever nappy cake and quite pleased with myself. Just wondering if I should of used a smaller cake board though as showing about an inch all the way round...I suppose a smaller one would ensure that the cellophane is a close fit.
Have not wrapped it yet in cellophane and wondering if anyone has any tips how to make a perfect job of this part.

Oh, that's a good idea. I was wondering how I would tape up the base. Thanks.

Our daughter's baby is not due until Christmas, but I thought I would get a bit of practise in and maybe try and sell one or two. Hubby, seems to think for all the outlay I am more or less wasting my time for very little money. Maybe he is right, because when I jot it up I have spent quite a bit.....but I must admit I felt a bit deflated after his comments !

Go for it if you enjoy it, as long as you don't lose loads of money. There's a lot worse things you could be doing!

I have made three now and only just covered the cost, DH says the same, I enjoy it though and they have been for friends so worth it to see their faces!
