great cakes everyone - especially the easter one - sorry can't remember who did it it was a page or so back!
I have had comments like that about craft fairs too - if they don't want you to go its their loss. It really annoys me. I had one lady who was sooo rude to me telling me that people didn't want that sort of thing they wanted quality items. I wanted to tell her to @*#* off but I'm bigger than that lol (well usually) I do appreciate that they are not to eveyones taste but it wouldn't do if we all liked the same -It'd make for a very dull world.0 -

Hi mumoffour, sorry to here your Gran passed away, and your father has been poorly heres to his speedy recovery.
Once you get started you will fly along, you say you have friends coming round, give them each a pile of nappies to roll up while there chatting lol:) ,your aiming for 5 cakes a day do you mean everyday up until the fair (35 in total),maybe you could do afew less and just take orders on the day of the fair. This said im not saying your taking to many as ive not done any fairs just thinking of ways to stretch your time, good luck with the fair hope you have a successful day xx0 -
LOL Emma, they are coming around for help with some application forms.....then they are gonna have a few glasses of red wine...then probably onto the harder stuff like slammers, and sambuca......I have to be good tonight as I have a busy day tomorrow!!

Hi Mumoffour77,
If I have a lot to do I do them in stages, so I make up the basic shape first (use the swirling method as massively easier and less time consuming!), then when I've got them done I add the blankets and muslins around, then I do the ribbons after then finally wrap. Just feel I like to do one thing rather than get everything out and only do a couple of cakes if that makes sense. Easier to do ribbons for a dozen cakes, you get into more of a production line.0
