Pricing is always my pet hate too Sally. I always feel that I'm charging too much. You couldn't buy my ingredients for less than £40 and I had decided to charge £50. It's only recently having seen so many cakes with far less ingredient spend on them for £55 I decided to bite the bullet and charge that! Soeffectively they are paying me £15 per cake to make it up and wrap it which I think is a fair price for an hours work.
Becs - I agree, your cakes look amazing and certainly worth the money - but I agree it's very difficult to value one's time. I have made a few and only made £3 or £4 per cake because I was so grateful that someone wanted to buy them!:) Have increase my prices to a more reasonabel amount now though.

This cake is fab! It looks beautifully put together - I would struggle to find anything to criticise and I'm sure the child would have loved it - hope you find a good home for it.
