Moonpenny - beautiful cake, so neat as usual:)

I picked up a few bits and pieces in Florida. This is a full set of Carter's clothes and toy.

    I wish I could take better photos:o

    Have sent you a PM.

You have your work cut out with the "snowboarding" order. if you wanted to "theme" it, the only thing I coud think of was "Pingu" on a hand made snowboard.
I think I would do a black/white theme rather than the creams. If you could get some snazzy kerchief bibs, you coud drape it round the top tier.
The only other toys I could think of were the Jellycat - Skiddadles - I think they're called but quite expensive. Sort of stripy giraffe/horse type with long legs. Very funky!
Mind you! Alot of trendies really like the very baby stuff. You never can tell!

    Your cakes are fabulous!

    Have pm'd you back!!!

Thanks I was thinking that I would probably do it black & white or maybe navy/white/red? will keep looking!!! At least the budget is £50 so I've got plenty of money to play with - will need it I think!!!

Busy with cakes at the moment - have had the most orders at one time over the last week or so - made up two last week and got 4 more to do!! Actually after a bit of advice - can anyone recommend where to buy 'funky/trendy' baby bits - its just that I've had an order for a cake for a funky trendy snowboarding couple!! The only thing I've thought of so far is those 'kerchief' style bibs as they're very trendy and also snowboarders actually where something similar! it needs to be neutral!!! any suggestions welcome please! :)

    Hiya

Have you seen Baby Banz, we had them for our son they are sunglasses designed for babies and look similar to ski goggles/sunglasses. Rather than a soft toy for the top could you ball up socks or something to look like a pile of snowballs, otherwise a penguin or polar bear soft toy.

I've been selling my cakes at work for the last few months but am beginning to think that I've just about exhausted the market there now. I'm going to sort out my portfolio (ok, snapshots - but I do try to sound posh!) and approach some local shops about stocking my cakes. What kind of shops do you all sell in? Florists, chemists, baby shops??
