Hiya I cost my towel and nappy cakes with a fiver proifit, I spend £15 on the contents and wrapping and
Add five on for making it and time spent.
If people want orders again price they pay is contents plus five.

Most of mine use towels £5 bath and £2.50 hand towel , 50p for candles, £1 ribbon, bath stuff ect
Cellphane £1 , so all costs are catered for.

    Hth Helen

the pricing is right, be careful that the people know exactly what they are getting personalised as i have known people to expect every item in the nappy cake personalised and are not prepared to pay any where near the value to get it done.
Any Embroidery machine should be fine for towels and fleece BUT for both of these you use a normal stablizer on the back and you also need a special topping for the top the water soluble is the best and easiest to remove after you have finished, if you embroider on fleece, towelling, knitwear or anything with a pile to it you always need a topping as well.

Thanks so much for your reply! Am gonna have a practice at the weekend and see what happens although lately I can't stop snapping bloody needles!!! I dunno whats wrong with the damn thing lol

    Hi Hsl500

That's really great considering you've just started!

I find word of mouth has been the best for me too so far.

Hiya Sally thanks most were in hubbies work, not sold to family or friends so least know they were genuine sales and not just cause family sales if you know what i mean , and i have 2 more orders pending, few queries on prices so fingers crossed,
its only mainly a hobby rather than buisness prospect im looking for as main hobby is photography so I tend to do that while have no orders, just something to keep me out of trouble while kids at school lol
