Thank You Moonpenny. I havent got your address to get onto Photobucket to have a look at your pictures, can you please give it me to have a look.
On the top of my cakes are Dummies, I used Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature ones, on offer at asda 2 packs for £6, so £3 for each cake, I have wrapped a Comfort blanket round them and put the teddies head at the top.
I'm just doing another one now and using Feeding Bowls for the top which looks quite good, I will upload a picture once I have finished it for you to see.
The one thing I am struggling to find are socks for the baby boy cakes, I can only find bright ones and prefer them to be pale.
I like the Natural cake too, I have taken that one for display at the florist, she was just going to put one in the glass display cabinet for me but when I went back to get another one wrapped for a friend she asked me for 3 to do a window display with so who knows what will come of it, hopefully itll be a success. Also for the Natural Cakes I need natural socks for make the rose buds.
I have had business cards made too so hopefully they will arrive soon :j

Thanks Giggle!!! Hopefully something will come out of it. I hope so because it's something I enjoy doing.
Thanks for the link Moonpenny, Your cakes are really nice, everything is coordinated perfectly and the Natural ones are great, I struggle to get things for Natural!?
Where do you get all your teddies from? They are really nice.
Could someone help me on how to fold the hooded towel properly too, I have done one but the back isnt the best and just wondered if there was a technique any of you used.
Thanks0 -
Hi Poppy, I find folding towels easier than blankets but don't really have any techinque. I am yet to produce a lovely 3 tier natural, ive seen some lovely ones but i have problems making my creams match!Best wins in 2013 £200 and Mini iPad. 2014 no wins. 2015 2 nights 5* hotel with £300 vouchers plus £1150 Harrods gift card

Hi Poppy105 - I get my toys all-over! Asda, though they havn't had any for ages. I look in all the supermarkets.
The white rabbits on the pic above were online sale item from M & S last year. Also bought others in the sale there, but prices are a lot more this year.
Keep a look out in card shops as you can pick up some in the sales.
I even look for xmas ones and if I can remove the hats , scarves etc without spoiling them, then they are a good buy and the shops want to be rid of them.
I have ranged between £1.50 and £5.
When I price my cakes, I say £3.50 for the toy, but am going to have to put it up to nearer £5 as you can't get anything lately.
Has everyone else noticed how the prices have gone up (since last summer) on everything especially blankets.0 -

Moonpenny do you have a retail outlet near you? We have a M&S retail outlet not too far from here and when I was in there last month I noticed they had the white teddies (very pretty in real life) for about £3.50-£4.50 they had a few different ones aswell and they are RRP £7 ish? just might help?Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Hi everyone.....hope you all had a nice Christmas and Happy New Year.
I am just back from two weeks in Florida and thought I would get lots of lovely baby things for cake making but they were just as expensive as here (unless I was looking in the wrong places). I have come home with some lovely things but they will not be for cheap cakes. Just hope I can sell them now.0
