It has 34 nappies in and two wide necked bottles down the middle holding it together.

Thanks Mumoffour for help with pricing the cakes. I'm not sure what she wants to do if she wants to buy them off me or just advertise them for me and pass my details on to people that go in. We shall see though but either way I will look at doing the same sort of thing as you said with the price.

I have only made 3 tier cakes so I am going to make small ones too to take to the other florists with me. Would you use the same pricing rate on them?

If anyone else has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

Sal - I really like the idea of the box, I had a thought of doing something similar with baskets.

    Thanks Danielle

    Hi Poppy

I did a basket too, I was thinking that they could use it for other purposes too?

    It's here:

  • Sally, I love the idea, Very Nice. Its nice if people dont want to spend too much or want an alternative to a cake.

    Do you sell your cakes?

    Morning Poppy

I'm trying hard to, but not having much luck unfortunately, although a very nice lady from these forums ordered two pet ones, however that's the only two recently.

    Sal,

Have you tried phoning a florist to wrap them, you could just take one to see what they think. I did that and they loved it. Even if you just do one then if they like the idea I am sure they will tell you. Just an idea.

I have also emailed people I know to show them and they will spread the word with pictures.

    Poppy they are beautiful:)
    Well done:D
    *NOT A CRITISM*
You dont always have to go for BIG cakes too......offer a variety One tier, two tier.
Some people like simplified cakes bottom tier nappies wrapped in a white blanket with coloured ribbon and accessories in side then a largish teddy bear (asda £2 on offer) Sometimes i dress them in a newborn babygro and hat holding a bottle!! I easily get £13 for these for a cost of £5/£6... This takes me around 10mins to make as there is loads of stock around me!! ( I bulk buy good when on offer;) and im able to store loads at home and in my garage)

But your cakes are beautiful and you should easily sell them!!

Thanks Sally! You should try it, it could work out. Plus after christmas all their stock and displays will go so there will be room in new year if they do want them.

Mumoffour - Thanks for the advice! I am going to make a variety of cakes I just need to get supplies first, got enough nappies its just getting bits and bobs to put in and put on top. Someone saw my first cake and wanted one the same for a boy thats why they are 3 tiers, but I am going to have a go over Christmas making different ones.
Do you sell your cakes or have a website where people order from or does someone stock them in a shop for you?
    Thanks
