    Hi kr15snw

How about doing the nappies wrapped in towels as opposed to baby blankets, or how about football scarves for each team? Perhaps green towel for one team, and a sort of burgundy for the other?

And you could then decorate it with other items such as baby bottles, dummies, feeder cups etc etc.

    Right heres a challenge!

One of the girls in work is due any day now so me and one of the other girls want to go together to do a nappy cake.

She is a die hard Plymouth Argyle fan where as her hubbie is a die hard Crystal Palace fan. Unfortunately Palace has a shocking selection of clothes, so I thought I could get a teddy of each team to put on the cake?

Want to try and include both teams colours though, but not sure how!!

    Help :(

I had never heard of nappy cakes or seen anything like before and have to say these look amazing!! This thread is brilliant and I plan on perhaps trying one out and seeing how it goes. Any suggestions as to a basic one which I could maybe get started with? Ive just lost my job and finding things a bit strange at the moment so hopefully this might keep me busy. Great thread and fabby cakes!! Thanks!

AshysPebbles - your cakes look fab! Although including delivery I dont think you will be making much on them? Not sure which delivery service you use but I pay £7.48 including VAT to post one of the 3 tier cakes by courier -plus dont forget packing and boxes - they can work out quite expensive. If people want something they are happy to pay that plus the delivery on top. REmember you want to make a profit too! I got a few of those Lions too they are really nice :o) I only got a couple incase I didnt like them but now wish I'd got more! THink I'll have to go and have a look soon.... Also now feel as though I need to get into asda although mine never seems to have any of these bargains I hear you talking about!!

Carlymummy - I love that bathtime cake - its soo cute!

SallyUK that halloween cake is brilliant wish I had a reason to make one! But will be away for halloween

I really need to get making - really busy at moment with up and coming fairs as have one or 2 a week now till Christmas - trying to think of some new kinda stuff to make and sell as I get bored with the same thing over and over but not had any brainwaves yet lol. I have even been turning places down as have had quite a few enquiries as to whether I can exhibit at different fairs.

i was down at the florists who stocks my cakes today and shes told me that she's just bought another shop and wants me to have a baby corner in it and display my stuff, at the moment its sale or return with her taking £5 on each cake or bouquet that she sells. she wants 3 x 3 tier cakes and 3 bouquets by thursday and i'm so busy trying to get stock made for my fair, i'm feeling a bit over whelmed with the amount of stuff i have to do.

right better go get rolling nappies

    Lovely cakes everyoone!

Went to Asda today - what a waste of time, there was nothing but a few scraps, went really early too. It's always the same at my store.

Angelkay, Good news for you about the shop "corner". You make me feel exhausted though, just reading what you are doing. Still, keep up the good work!

I am burning the midnight oil again too, as I had a luxery cake to do and have only just finished it. Will post pic later if I get the chance. Yet another "neutral one - am sick of cream. I have all this stock in colours and I keep getting asked for cream. Much as I like it, I'm bored to death - want to do colours!
