if you are looking for under £100 then i would recommend asics from sports direct. anything over that i would go to a specialist and see what they recommend after assessing your running style0

I always take my son to a specialist (Up & Running) for gait analysis and they've never recommended anything anywhere near £100 let alone over! The most we've paid for decent suitable fitting trainers is £75. Don't be put off by thinking a specialist shop will charge you a fortune; in fact we've saved money because prior to this he wore expensive unsuitable Nikes that he wouldn't be seen dead in now!Do not allow the risk of failure to stop you trying!0 -

Totally agree with you - over £100 is very expensive! my triainers generally come in under £75 and thats with free Gait analysis, and advice and from runners world. Many other stores also offer this service for free.
All trainers have a lifespan of around 500 miles on them, for most people, this is 6 months or so. (work out how many miles you run in a week, then do the sums from there -and try not to wear your trainers anywhere other then for actual running) Then, however much you paid for them, they are not as roadworthy and you'll need a new pair. So over £100 is really not going to be any better for you then £70.0
